Don Bradman, the greatest batsman in Test cricket history, scored 29 centuries in Test cricket but struggled in T20s. Some of today’s best batsmen have scored more T20 centuries than Test centuries, and one player stands out when it comes to centuries in T20 internationals: Chris Gayle, already in the first position. This article is fully dedicated to some most famous centuries in t20 International cricket by a player.

If we talk about Indian players for most centuries in T20 Internationals, then Rohit has now become the player with the t20 international highest century as well as the most centuries in T20 International cricket history by an Indian player, surpassing Virat Kohli’s record.

The record for most t20 centuries (22) belongs to none other than the universe boss, Chris Gayle. The West Indian legend has played in numerous t20 leagues across the world including the IPL, PSL, CPL, BBL, and many more. His first t20 century came while playing for West Indies in the first match of the 2007 t20 world cup and also was the first century by anyone in the T20 International format since then the man has dominated the t20 format. Gayle has scored 6 centuries in IPL for 3 different franchises which include RCB, KKR, and PBKS. He also has centuries in the Bangladesh premier league, Caribbean Premier League, the Big Bash, etc. His best-ever t20 knock came in 2013 playing for Rcb against Pune Warriors, Gayle smashed an unbeaten 175 of 66 balls with 13 fours and 17 huge sixes.
Michael Klinger is a veteran t20 batter who ended up playing just 3 matches for the Australian national team but is a stalwart in domestic t20 leagues. Klinger has played for Perth Scorchers, Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash, and for Gloucestershire and Worcestershire in County Circuits. Klinger even got sold in the IPL auction and was with the Kochi Tuskers in 2011 and played 4 matches in the IPL. His last ton came for Gloucestershire, Klinger smashed 102 not out to guide his team to a t20 blast quarter-final in 2019.
At present, David Warner also referred to as pocket dynamite is one of the most dangerous batsmen in all cricket. The destructive southpaw has scored truckloads of runs in IPL for SRH and DC and has made 4 centuries in IPL to date. Warner is also the 4th highest run-scorer in IPL history. Warner also has a t20i century for Australia against Sri Lanka in 2019. As warner is still an active player he is likely to make more than 8 centuries and break more records in the future.

The current Australian captain and Warner’s opening partner also has 8 centuries in t20 cricket. Aaron James Finch has 2 t20i tons to his name that too with the highest ever score in t20 international cricket. Finch scored 172 against Zimbabwe in 2018 while playing for Australia and it remains the highest ever score in t20i cricket by an individual. Finch also made 156 against England in t20i in 2013. One interesting fact about Finch is that he has played for 9 different teams in IPL and is the only player to do so.

Wright is a former English cricketer who played 51 t20i for England in his career. The Englishman has played a lot of t20 cricket across the globe. Wright has scored 5 t20 centuries for the Sussex county team and 2 t20 centuries in Big Bash for Melbourne Stars. His IPL career was very short, he only played 7 matches for Pune Warriors.
Brendon McCullum’s 158* in the very first game of IPL 2008 played a huge part in the success of the IPL. This innings still remains one of the greatest innings in t20 cricket and it can’t be forgotten. His aggressive batting changed and revolutionized modern cricket. McCullum has 2 centuries in the IPL one for CSK and one for KKR and 2 in international cricket.

In today’s date, KL Rahul is considered one of the most complete batsmen, the range of shorts he has is extraordinary and his technique is really solid as well. Rahul is currently Indian vice-captain in all 3 formats and captain of Lucknow Super Giants. Rahul has 4 centuries in IPL for Punjab and Lucknow combined. He has 2 t20i centuries to his name one against England in Old Trafford and the other against West Indies in Florida.
Babar Azam is currently the captain of the Pakistan team and is performing really well in t20Is. Azam bolsters an average of 45 plus in t20i which is rare and outstanding. Babar has 1t20i century for Pakistan. He also has t20 centuries in vitality blast and Pakistan National t20 Cup.

Jos the ‘boss’ Buttler is in the form of his life. His 4 T20 centuries have come in IPL in this season (2022) itself. He took almost every award for his performance this season including orange cap, MVP of the season, most sixes, most fours, etc. He amassed 4 centuries this season in his effort to take the Rajasthan Royals to the IPL final. Buttler also opens for the England team and also has one t20i century to his name and can add some centuries to his tally soon.
Shane Watson has been a prolific t20 all-rounder throughout his entire career. Shane Watson has scored 4 centuries in IPL two for Royals and two for CSK. The impact of his runs has always been great, winning games in IPL single-handedly. Watson also has one t20i century to his name.

RO HIT-MAN Sharma as people love to call him is an ultimate legend of white-ball cricket. The Indian captain has the record for most t20i centuries in the world (4) and is also the highest run-scorer in the t20i format in the world. Rohit also has one IPL ton to his name, he scored an unbeaten 109 against KKR in 2012.
